Who We Are

Information We Collect

The Start a Conversation form collects the following information when you choose to submit it: full name, so we know who we are speaking with; role or title, to understand your professional context before the first conversation; email address, to respond to your inquiry; phone number, in case a direct call is the better way to continue the conversation; location, to account for time zone when scheduling and because program relevance can vary by region; program or programs of interest, so the first conversation is specific rather than general; service of interest, to route your inquiry appropriately; and your message, whatever background or context you choose to include.

We may also collect limited technical information common to any website visit, such as browser type and general access logs generated automatically by our hosting provider. This information does not identify you personally and is used only to keep the website functioning securely. Where cookies are used, further detail is in Cookies & Similar Technologies below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This site uses analytics cookies, provided through Google Analytics, to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site. This site does not currently use advertising cookies.

Cookies fall into two categories here: strictly necessary cookies, which keep the site working and do not require consent, including a cookie that records your cookie preference itself; and analytics cookies, which require your consent before they are set. Analytics cookies typically expire within 24 months of being set or when you clear them from your browser, whichever comes first.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through this form is used to review your background and determine whether an initial conversation makes sense; respond to you directly, by email or phone; and prepare for that conversation with the relevant context already understood.

If a conversation leads to an engagement, the information you provided at intake becomes part of that engagement and is handled under the terms of the engagement itself, not under this website policy. This policy covers your information from the moment you submit it through this form up to that point.

Who We Share Your Information With

No one, with four narrow exceptions.

First, the service providers who host this website and operate its email system have the technical ability to process this information because they run the infrastructure it passes through. They do not use it for their own purposes, and they are bound to keep it confidential.

Second, if you become a client, your professional background is discussed with the specific admissions committees, recommenders or other parties relevant to your candidacy, but only with your knowledge and as part of the advisory work itself, never as a byproduct of having filled out this form.

Third, this site uses Google Analytics, which receives limited technical information only if you consent to analytics cookies, as described in Cookies and Similar Technologies above.

Fourth, this site uses CookieYes to record and manage your cookie preference itself. This happens regardless of what you choose, since recording the choice you made is what lets us honor it.

Robinson Advisors does not sell or rent your information. It is never shared for marketing purposes, and it is never shared with a school, employer or any third party without your explicit permission.

How Long We Keep It

If your inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we retain your information for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

If you become a client, your information is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterward consistent with standard professional recordkeeping practice, currently seven years, after which it is deleted unless you request otherwise or the law requires a longer period.

Your Rights

Wherever you are located, you generally have the right to: ask what information we hold about you; correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; ask that we delete your information; object to or restrict how we use it; withdraw consent at any time, including consent given through the checkbox on this form (this does not affect anything already done before you withdrew it); request a copy of your information in a portable format; manage cookie preferences at any time using the cookie preferences option available on the site; and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence, where one exists.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide, including relying on service providers with their own security safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information sent over the internet.

Information Sent Across Borders

Robinson Advisors works with executives globally. Because of this, your information may be processed in a country other than the one where you live. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to see that it is handled with the same care described in this policy, regardless of where it is processed.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. A change that materially affects how previously collected information is used will be communicated directly to anyone reasonably identifiable who is still in contact with the practice.
